I just saw this but I don't know if it's true. One of my pet peeves driving in Manila is when you get caught and they say your violation is "swerving" which is ridiculous. It's a violation for you to swerve, but not for Jeepneys to swerve. Very Important Message: Kapag hinuli ka ng traffic enforcer at alam mong wala kang violation: 1. Kunin mo ang mission order nila upang malaman mo ang kanilang area of responsibility, time of duty and official function; 2. "SWERVING" ay HINDI isang traffic violation. Tandaan: 1.Hindi maaaring kunin ang iyong driver's license maliban na lamang kung ikaw ay sangkot sa traffic accident o nakalikom na ng 3 o higit pang traffic violations. 2. From Yahoo! News . Four new species of crab have been discovered in the Philippine island of Palawan. And one of the crabs truly stands out with its unusually bright purple shell. National Geographic reports that the Insulamon palawanese may use its uniquely colored shell to help identify its own kind. "It is known that crabs can discriminate colours. Therefore, it seems likely that the colouration has a signal function for the social behaviour, e.g. mating," Hendrik Freitag of the Senckenberg Museum of Zoology in Dresden, Germany told AFP. "The particular violet coloration might just have evolved by chance, and must not necessarily have a very specific function or reason aside from being a general visual signal for recognition," Freitag told National Geographic. I've always been in favor of giving people the opportunity to upgrade their learning. But we all know that sometimes it's not practical to go back to school and sit down for a few hours every day for a couple of month because we have work or families to take care of. Sometimes the distance is also a problem with the traffic in Manila or it's just impractical to leave our homes and go live in another city just to take courses in a University we like.
